Rural residents work hard to provide for their households
whether they are alone, a single parent, or supporting a
family. Adults who may not have been previously eligible for
health insurance may now receive low-cost or free
coverage.

Your Health is Worth It
Relying on emergency visits for health care comes
with a high cost for both patients and providers.
Affordable health insurance allows individuals to
invest in their health, decreasing the likelihood of
needing emergency care. When patients proactively
care for themselves, they are less likely to develop
health complications later.
Accidents happen. Even if you and your family are
healthy, emergency visits are costly and in rural
areas especially, services may not be available. To
prevent risk of injury or illness, invest in routine care
for yourself and your loved ones. Your health is worth
it.
Missouri residents are encouraged to check eligibility
status as the rules have changed. Even if you were
denied before, you may now be able to receive
coverage. Eligibility for MO HealthNet depends on
your income, age, health, and individual needs.
Missouri Medicaid covers a wide range of care for a
variety of incomes, placing affordable health care
