May 1 Study Session, Indian Invitational
Board of Aldermen Business
Meeting - May 1, 2014
The board of aldermen business
meeting was held on May 1, at
Buckner City Hall. The aldermen
present included Randy
Buckallew, Jimmie Jones, Molly
Kinne, Darrel Box, and Jordon
Elefson. In addition to the
aldermen, Mayor Dan Hickson,
City Administrator Yvonna
Stapleton, City Clerk Larry Neidel,
Public Works Superintendent Ed
Burns, Police Chief Mike Cook and
Attorney Jesse Fox were present
for the meeting.
All resolutions on the agenda
were approved and the Mayor
signed all agreements.
Plans for the new city hall project
were discussed. It was agreed
that the line of credit will be
extended to $1.2 million to cover
expenses. All aldermen were in
favor.
Discussions of the wetlands were
held. It is noted the property
belongs to the City of Buckner but
it would be beneficial to all parties
if the oversight of the property
was transferred to the Park
Department.
All aldermen voted in favor and
declared the property to the park.
An executive session was held to
discuss real estate.
Indian Invitational Runs
May 30

The Indian Invitational youth
baseball tournament comes to
Heisler-Burns Park, with the
first tournament open to teams
in the 12U age division. Games
begin May 30
th
through June
1
st
.
Entry fees are $250 and
guarantee three games. The
first place team receives
trophies and championship t-
shirts.
Additionally, concessions and
tournament t-shirts will be
available for purchase.
The registration deadline is May
26
th.
