Save the Date!
The Mayor's Christmas Tree is committed to making sure no
child in the Buckner, Levasy and Sibley area goes without
Christmas. This commitment fuels the motivation for fundraising
efforts in the community throughout the year, most recently the
successful fish fry dinner.
The committee recently announced another family-friendly event,
the annual Mayor's Christmas Tree Banquet and Auction. This
year's event is October 11 at the Heart of God Fellowship Church.
A ham and turkey dinner, with traditional holiday side items, will be
prepared by Eric Kaps and begins at 5 p.m.
Auction items are acquired through donations from local churches,
businesses, and residents. The auction will start around 6:30 p.m.,
led by auctioneer Kip Rorrer of Rorrer Auction Co. L.L.C. The
committee expects to offer a variety of items for bidding.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10. All proceeds will be
used to provide gifts for children in need during the holiday season.
