2/ TheBucknerClarion.com August 13, 2015 Assistant Principal Dr. Jason Snodgrass, Superintendent of Schools, is pleased to announce Mr. Danny Knapp as Assistant Principal at Fire Prairie Upper Elementary School. Knapp will begin his duties effective July 2015. Knapp is replacing Mrs. Sarah Brown who will assume the role of elementary principal in the Piper School District. "I am honored to become a member of the Fort Osage family! It is a privilege to join a district who has such a good reputation of being collaborative, innovative, and student centered. I look forward to continuing my career in Fort Osage and building positive trusting relationships with the school community. I am excited to work with students, staff, parents, and patrons in our quest of preparing all kids for success now, and in the future," said Knapp. Knapp comes to Fort Osage from Clinton County R-III in Plattsburg where he was middle school principal and activities director for one year, and elementary principal for two years. Prior to that, he spent 13 years as a teacher of special services in the North Kansas City School District, Liberty School District, and Lafayette County School District. Knapp is a graduate from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Majoring in Special Education, he had an emphasis in Behavioral Disorder and Educable Mentally Handicapped. Knapp also holds a Master of Education in Administration K-12, and a Specialist in Educational Administration from William Woods University. LINC Fort Osage Food Did you know that an emergency food pantry is housed at Cler-Mont Elementary? Established in 2004, the LINC Fort Osage Food Pantry served families more than 3,000 times last year. If you or someone you knows finds yourself needing emergency food assistance call 816-650-7365 for more information or to schedule an appointment. The Harvesters Mobile Pantry visits the Fort Osage Community on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Registration takes places on Salem Drive near Harmony Heights Baptist Church. Food is distributed at Fort Osage Church of the Nazarene. Volunteers are wanted to assist at both the emergency food pantry and the mobile pantry.
