Each year, Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA) presents an award to an outstanding new Missouri Superintendent of Schools from each MASA district. The award is in recognition of outstanding performance in the demonstration of those skills that reflect the best in educational leadership. Nominees must be a practicing superintendent in their second or third year of employment as a superintendent; have never served as a superintendent of schools in another state; made a measurable contribution to the school district they serve as a new Superintendent of Schools as verified by one or more practicing Superintendents from their MASA district; and be a member of MASA at the time of nomination. Snodgrass Recently Honored with MASA New Superintendent Award Fort Osage Hires New Business Director Dr. Jason Snodgrass, Superintendent of Schools, is pleased to announce Mrs. Stacey Holzwarth as Business Director for the Fort Osage School District. Holzwarth will begin her duties effective July 2017. Holzwarth is replacing Mrs. Cindy Heidtbrink who is retiring June 2017. "I am excited to join a group of professionals who are so passionate about providing a quality education to students," said Holzwarth. Holzwarth is the Shared Business Services Coordinator for the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming, a position she has held since 2015. Prior to her work at the University of Wyoming, Holzwarth has served as the Director of Investments for the Iowa State University Foundation, an adjunct accounting instructor at Laramie County Community College, and a Senior Investment Accountant for State Street Bank and Trust in Kansas City, Mo. Holzwarth holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
