On Thursday, June 25, from 9:30-11 a.m., Communities Concerned for Immigrants and Refugees (CCIR) will host a webinar on the
impact COVID-19 has had on immigration and immigrant issues. The webinar will be moderated by Suzanne Gladney, executive
director of the Migrant Farmworkers Assistance Fund, and will feature a panel of local immigration lawyers: Megan Galicia, Clare
Murphy Shaw and Raymond Rico.
The panel will discuss how the virus has affected immigration offices, border issues, people seeking asylum, people trying to enter
the U.S. legally, and travel. Panelists also will answer questions about the public charge rule, regarding whether stimulus checks,
unemployment benefits, and COVID-19 testing will affect statuses.
Please RSVP by Thursday, June 18, to submit questions for the panelists. Questions can be submitted through the registration page.
